....inspired by a poppy (seriously into poppies at themoment!

I thought the stamens looked like little soldiers, soI put some on wires and painted them black and gradually built up a picture in the little boxes....just a few squares and glazing to do.

Meanwhile I have entered a section of the piece into a competition to design a World War 1 card for fundraising for "Help for Heroes"

The soldier is my Great Grandfather (with my Grandad) and the forget me not brooch belonged to his wife. (I will not part with the brooch)
